Griffin was my student when he was a 6th grader. His smile and humor was one of a kind. He kept me on my toes, so I kept him seated closely to my desk. He was so smart and never slowed down. The wheels were always turning, so during math, he was either taking something apart, building something new, or drawing. He would share his drawings with me and his plan to be a pilot. I’m glad I had the opportunity to know Griffin. There are some students that just stick with you years after you taught them. For me, it was Griffin. Rest in peace Griffin.

I’ve hung out with griffin many times, we have had some great memories together not the best of choices we’re made in those memories but they are unforgettable moments, many people may not have been close to him or liked him because of his actions but it made griffin the person he was and still is inside his spirt. Mental health is seriously no joke, so many people our age struggle from this shit some more than most. My daughter and her friends knew Griffin and have been mourning his passing deeply. He came to our house a few times over the summer, always kind, fun loving. His spirit and energy touched more lives than he knew. We grieve with you as a community, as parents, as friends, as aquaintances, as teachers, as all the people his bright light touched.

Griffin was such a great kid, and helped out with Jars of Joy , a non profit I have, and he had a kind heart and was a best friend friend to everyone and treated everyone like they were their best friend. He was my best friend. Griffin you helped me through High School Junior Year and Senior Year a lot with the bullying I was getting at my school. I can’t ever thank you enough for sticking up for me like I would stick up for you, and we had each others backs. I love you so much with my whole heart Griff, see you sometime, and thank you for helping with Jars of Joy, and helping me in High School. Thank you for being one of those kids that does not care if you are gay, straight anything. You always protected me, and stuck up for me. Thank you for being real, and being who you are. I hope people can learn from this to be like Griffin and be kind to others. That would be what Griffin would want. To Griffin’s parents… I am sorry… Your son was amazing. I loved him and still do and will continue his legacy of kindness. You raised him very well. He was very polite to all of his peers.
