My thoughts go out to Tom's family, friends and colleagues. When I was with Tom, I always felt like our relationship was more important than the business transactions. He was someone that I trusted, respected and enjoyed being with. I'm thankful for the times we spent together, and appreciative of the valuable advice have gave to me about career and life.

My thoughts and prayers for all the Driscoll family. Tom was a neighborhood friend from the St. Francis parish ( Ida Hill ) in Troy. We were blessed with a wonderful group of kids to grow up with. Tom and his brother John worked with me a Crowley’s Manor House ice cream shop. We had many good times at our first job together. Tom was in charge of the many shifts I worked. He did a better job running the shop ,than the real manager.
I am very happy to hear that he has a lovely family and leaves them many comforting memories. God bless all of you in the days ahead.

My heartfelt condolences to the Driscoll family. John, my heart goes out to you my brother.
I lived next to the Driscolls on Brunswick Rd growing up. Tommy and John were the big brothers I never had. I looked up to both of them, way up! I had the pleasure of being at Tom's wedding. Br. Eugene and I visited him for a weekend in Nantucket one summer where he was working as a short order cook. He was always encouraging and pushing me to be a better tennis player.
I spoke with him at Ray O'Brien's wake. He was so grateful for his life and his family.
You and your family will always be a fixture in my heart Tom. My God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Tom and I worked together at St. Catherine’s Center for Children in the mid 1970’s. He was fun, friendly and great with the kids. It was easy to be his friend. Once you become Tom’s friend, it’s for life. I was there when he met and married Lyle. We’ve stayed in touch throughout these years, although it was from a distance. Tom has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences to the Driscoll family.

I learned of Tom's death from Vinny Hevern. I send you my deepest condolences from Fiji, where I have been living and working for the past six years. I also want to assure you of my prayers for Tom, his family, and his many, many friends. I will always be deeply grateful for Tom for his invaluable help in a program I started to offer students from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to study at Le Moyne College and to get work experience at the same time. I also have very fond memories of him and Lyle visiting the Jesuit community at Le Moyne. I am sorry that I cannot join you for Tom's funeral, but I will be there in spirit.

Dear Lyle, Brendan, Will, and Thomas...When the news came on Friday of Tom's passing, I felt a mixture of sadness for your loss and a sense of relief that Tom no longer suffered after such a life of giving and enjoyment. As others have said, is there any way of remembering Tom without his smile and his joy at everything he felt he had been given, most especially the wife he loved so much and the boys for whom he was endlessly proud. It was a grace to have gotten to become Tom's friend over the last decade and a half as we shared through his cousin, Joe Neville, a common sense of God's working in us to create bonds of compassion and service. I hope to see you on May 6th. And, meanwhile, know that Tom and your family are in the prayers of the Jesuit Community and me here at Le Moyne College. Vinny Hevern, SJ

Dear Lyle and family, My deepest condolences on the passing and loss of Tom. I had the pleasure of teaching him at La Salle, esp in an advanced Latin class. I have fond memories of him playing varsity basketball there. He then went on to Manhattan and we stayed in touch through the years, particularly for a golfing excursion in the summers. The comments in the obituary about his devotion to his family, his faith, and academic heritage are spot-on. Be assured of the prayers of the Brothers Community at Manhattan for his resurrection and your consolation. See you on the 6th.

I will always smile whenever I think of Tom, because he always had a smile on his face, whenever we met. Tom was a great friend and listener, and his upbeat attitude was greatly appreciated. I will miss seeing Tom at church, and around our town of Cazenovia. His friendship and presence had a positive impact on me, and I am very grateful to have known him. He will be missed!

Tom has been a good friend over the years, through both the church and our children. His strong moral structure was pivotal in several personal conversations we had that I still respect and reflect. He made a great number of friends, and I am glad to be counted as one of many.
