Obituary of Sharon A. Diamond
Sharon A. Diamond, 79, of Cazenovia, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born January 19, 1944 in Jordan, New York to Edney and Alice Kent. Sharon earned her Associates degree as a Dental Hygienist from Onondaga Community College and a Master’s degree in Education from Cortland State College. She was employed for several years as a hygienist and as an educator. Sharon and her husband Martin were also owners of a fire restoration and construction company for several years. She was involved with raising and showing Belgium and Clydesdale horses which gave her a great source of enjoyment.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Scott Diamond and Alan Diamond both of Syracuse; her brothers, Gary (Ann) Kent of Rochester and Bruce (Liz) Kent of California; her sisters, JoAnne Kent of Syracuse and Cindy (Tony) Miano of Arizona; her brother-in-law, Jim Thompson of Congress, AZ; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Martin “Marty” Diamond and by her sisters, Sue Thornton and Gayle Thompson.
