Our sincere condolences, Kathy and family! We had the pleasure of knowing Dr Davis for 20 plus years as he cared for all our pets. That included our reindeer. When we purchased them we were warned that finding a vet willing to care for reindeer could be challenging but don't give up. There will be one vet who will say yes," I'm willing to learn how to care for your reindeer" Dr Davis researched the care of reindeer and was always there for us and them. Because of him many people young and old were able to experience the magic of meeting a reindeer. We will always remember him for his compassion for animals and his kindness towards their owners.

Dr. Davis was a truly special person. We feel so fortunate that he was a part of our and our pets' lives. The care he showed our animals over the years was something we never took for granted. It's hard to find a vet who is as caring, honest, and thorough as Dr. Davis was. He was gentle with our animals when they were scared and gentle with us when we had to say our last good-byes to them. His compassion was a measure of the kind of person he was down to his core. "Thank you" doesn't begin to cover how grateful we are to have had him in our lives. We are so sorry for his family and send warmest, heartfelt regards to all who are missing him.

My condolences to Dr. Davis‘s family for their loss. Myself and my family went to his practice in Clay NY for years before he sold it. The thing about him is he wasn’t in it for the money. He really cared for animals. On numerous occasions, he offered advice on natural treatments to use on our animals. Sure he could’ve taken the money and prescribe medication‘s that may be the same time. However, he was always quick to give a natural remedy that were very cheap or free over an expensive treatment. I really respected that about Doctor Davis. The world has seriously lost a good veterinarian here.

Peter and I never had a chance to get to know John but, we know he was a fabulous man and humanitarian. This is known in how he treated his family, friends and strangers and his profound love and kindness toward all. This of course includes all the animals he cared for with knowledge of their needs both physically and emotionally. He will surely be missed!
Please accept our condolences and love in helping you all cope with this profound loss.
Much Love,
Peter and Kate

I never met Dr. Davis, although I wish I had. I had heard many good things about him from the Wayward Paws Fosters & what a great vet he was (compassionate, always willing to help and provide care to a kitty in need). Blessed peace & rest be yours, Dr. Davis. Thank you for taking such great care of the kitties & their fosters.

To Kathy and family from the Becker family in Liverpool: We express our deep sympathy for your loss. Dr Davis took care of over more than a dozen of our cats and dogs throughout about 20 years (both at Animal Kingdom and CNY Vets). He always took such good care of our pets at less cost than other vets. He really cared about the animals, not the money, and he always greeted us with a smile. God Bless him and comfort you at this time.

Kathy, It's been a long time, but John, you and I go back a long time. I remember when John opened Animal Kingdom on Route 31 and Blues and I were one of his first patients. He took an interest in Blues and when it was his time did everything to ease the pain I was suffering. Then there was Barron the red and rust doberman and finally Shiloh the " wolf "and Winnifer the skittish dog, and so many more. John was there with excellent care and again understood my concerns and suffering when their lives came to an end. As a side note, when the office was relocated to Route 31, I recall how excited John was to show me the tv monitors he installed to monitor the stalls when staying overnights when animals under his care were in crisis. We drifted apart and I spoke to him occasionally by phone, and also remember the raccoon Kathy you had as a pet I believe in Skaneatles. It was a great time and as we age live on our memories of which I have many. Thanks John Davis as the memories are all up lifting.

I remember John with his son Tommy on his lap while he studied. Then along came beautiful Kimmy, and then, the most adorable sweet little twins Ashley & Keith. He loved being a Dad. He will be escorted to heaven by his beloved Keith. My heart breaks for these, now grown children and all his family May you find peace knowing his suffering has ended.
