My sincere condolences to Ross’ family. I was shocked to accidentally find of his passing. Ross and I started working together at Lincoln First Bank marketing department. My many remembrances was him coming in to work all beat up from his weekend of rugby, trying to get me to join him.

We are so saddened to see this news; we were privileged to meet Ross and get to know him at our winter rental these past few years . Our friendship grew as we became condo neighbors last year in Florida. We enjoyed being his neighbors and fellow NYer’s in Florida. He was such a kind, giving man and we had many hopes and plans to spend time together . This is a very sad day. Our deepest sympathies to his family; please reach out with anything we can help you with in Hillsboro Beach.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Ross. He was truly one-of-a-kind and will be sorely missed. Starting in 2005, our family enjoyed a unique and special bond with Ross and his family – spending one wonderful week every summer at Big Moose Lake in the Adirondacks. Ross was always full of energy and laughter and he loved and lived life to the fullest. We will always remember Ross driving his motorboat and towing a tube of screaming kids; his “breakfast club” ritual of leaping into the frigid lake at 7am; his delight in driving the kids to look for bears at the dumpster or for mountain hikes; his limping bad-knees run to first base; his lively conversations at the dinner table and fireside; and his champion capacity to engage people and have fun.

I started to work at Beacon Federal in late 1995 until 2013. Ross Prossner was the President .
I worked under Don Palladino and Donna Maxwell. I knew right away Beacon was a special place to work. The atmosphere was one of working together, helping one another and respect for one another. This was the fabric of Beacon Federal.
Ross worked closely with his management team. Once a year there would be training management retreats. We also had meetings on Wednesday mornings for everyone.
I was a Member Service Representative. I was able to do well with customer service.I was shocked when Ross spoke with me about a customer complement and encouraged me. He would encourage all his employees not just ones in management.
In 1998 our family had a devastating loss. We loss our 14 year old son Billy Wood. While he was riding his bike he was hit by a car.
Ross brought in Hope for the Bereaved on a Wednesday morning. He wanted to prepare the team to be able to help me through this loss in the best possible way. After I returned to work Donna was able to take me for a walk if I had a tuff moment.
Ross also actually took me to Hope for the Bereaved. I personally do not know of a President of a company that would take the time and care to do this. Ross said I will need to learn tools on how to heal.
Ross did not stop with me . He reached out to our son Paulie. He put him to work at Beacon. He would clean the T Brid someone mentioned in a memory, Paul did many odd jobs one was painting the fence in the back of Beacon. Ross learned Paul was interested in plays. He encouraged Paul to be in the play God Spell. Colleen was the director.
As time went on Ross heard that I was interested in IT (Information Technology) at Beacon. It was a wonderful and an exciting time.
Again I was able to work with an amazing team. Jeff, Justin, Danielle, and Gavin. I learned so much.
With Ross and his amazing team and coworkers I was given the time and grace I needed to be healthy again.
I KNOW without a doubt I would Not be where I am today if the Lord did not put Ross in my life.. There are no words that can express my love and grateful heart.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and so many that were so close to him.
He will be missed and never forgotten.
Love Toni Wood

Ross was a singularly decent, caring, and fun loving person. I first met him in 1971 when he moved into our house at 2727 West Genesse Street in Syracuse. We called the house “Whiteacre” and it was our refuge from school and the demands of early adulthood. Ross was a great house mate and we all shared many good times together. Fortunately, we kept in touch and I learned to value Ross’s comments, insights, and friendship. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Ross was a fantastic guy with a heart of gold. Ross was best friends with my late brother Schuyler Sweet. He and his family spent many a weekend on the St Lawrence River at "Sweet Water" Alexandria Bay, NY. The flagpole the Prossners provided and installed still stands to this day. We had some great rides in the T-bird and somehow, we were lucky enough to stay out of trouble. Many great stories with Ross and Hooty. The Prossners have a special place in my heart that will never be forgotten. I am sure that Ross and Schuyler will be up to no good and scheming some type of trickery which they were pros at. We will all see.
Sending prayers and condolences to all the Prossner family !

Our sincere condolences to Ross's family. Ross was a good soul and a true friend; it was a privilege to know him. Eric and I were glad to have visited him in Florida this last January and spend a few days with him. I pray his spirit is now with the Lord and he is at peace. He will be missed.

Condolences from Seattle, Washington, to all the family and friends of Ross, my friend and Pi brother for more than 50 years. I'll treasure his loyalty, his smarts and most of all his constant and infectious smile, from the day we met 'til his last, faint faltering breath. Godspeed!
