Obituary of Amy Bradstreet

Please share a memory of Amy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Amy Bradstreet of Cazenovia, NY passed away on September 1st at her home on East Lake Road. Amy was born on December 5, 1969 in Endwell, NY. She was the daughter of Roger and Bonnie Bradstreet and sister to Roger Alan (Kathy) and Jennifer Arlene. Amy attended elementary schools in Hagerstown, MD., Cherry Hill NJ and Cazenovia, later Hong Kong International HS, Williamsville HS and is a graduate of Cazenovia HS. She attended St. Lawrence University and RPI, serving an internship at the University of Texas, receiving combined degrees in Mathematics and Civil Engineering. Amy held a variety of engineering positions, most recently employed by Accenture Federal in Washington, DC as a Consulting Business and Systems Integration Manager. After college, Amy resided in Washington D.C., NYC, and moved to Long Island in 2007, where she met yet another terrific circle of friends and started a family with her fiance Steven Douglas Schumejda II of Riverhead, and their sons Dougie and Jack. In 2014, they decided to make Cazenovia their home after Hurricane Sandy flooded their Flanders, NY home, and resided at their cottage on East Lake Road. Amy enjoyed sports and travel, but dedicated these last 4 years to being with her family as much as possible. Amy completed the San Diego and NYC Marathons, as well as many half marathons. Amy played field hockey and basketball at Cazenovia, playing field hockey alongside her big sister Jennifer at Hong Kong International where her brother Roger was captain of the rugby team. Amy treasured and remained close to her valued family and friends and is survived by her children Dougie and Jack, her parents Roger and Bonnie Bradstreet of Nelson, NY, brother Roger Alan(Kathy), sister Jennifer Arlene, all of the Cazenovia area, several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many special friends over the years. We will miss her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, positive attitude, and tears of joy seen so many times over her short lifetime. Amy's familiar smiles and compassion spread joy throughout her world and continue to shine down on us from above. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Saturday, September 13th at St. Ann's Church, 104 Academy Street in Manlius. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 12th from 4-7pm at Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia.
