Obituary of John Palladino
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John M. Palladino, 74, of Pompey passed away on 9/9 after a year-long illness, leaving his wife, Donna of 53 years, a daughter Linda Palladino of LaFayette and son Peter Palladino of Stuttgart, Germany; his grandchildren Chloe Palladino of Valdosta, Georgia, Keller and Kali Loughlin of LaFayette and Sophie Palladino of Stuttgart, Germany.
John had a construction company and gravel bed, partnering with Nelson Scanlon and later leasing to T.H. Kinsella. He has worked over the years reclaiming the gravel bed into 100 acres of beautiful ponds, grass and trees. He always had a project for his "toys" and looking ahead to the next dozer or excavator job to better his dream for the gravel bed. He just completed his last project!
John served as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Pompey for 32 years, plowing snow for over 50 years retiring in 2008. He and Donna spent recent winters in The Villages, Florida where he found a dozer to operate.
John was a self-taught man with common sense who loved his work for the town and in his gravel bed.
