Obituary of Bill O'Herien

Bill "Hoot" O'Herien, 68, of Cazenovia passed away Saturday evening at the Syracuse V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Oneida, a son to the late William and Elizabeth O'Herien and resided in Cazenovia for several years. Bill was a Security Officer and had worked for Fay's Drugstore, Eckerd Drugs, Cazenovia College and retired in 2009 from Rite-Aid. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Sandra K. O'Herien, who died in 2009; two sons, Leonard in 2004 and Thomas William O'Herien, who died May 17, 2015. He is survived by his children, John B. O'Herien of Cazenovia, David (Debbie) Warren of Perryville, Patti (Terry) Rounds of Georgetown, Wendy (Jamie) Bain of Chittenango and Mike (Tara) Warren of Munnsville; daughter-in-law, Christina Pierce of Cazenovia; siblings, Cindy Garbut of Munnsville, Loren "Skip" (Rose) O'Herien of Canastota, Lori (Dennis) Morgan of Oneida and Donna Conte of Baldwinsville; 11 grandchildren, Troy, Leah, Ross, Ashley, Chad, Jake, Jessie, Allison, Andrew, Ryan and Trevor; four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Rd., Cazenovia, NY. Following the calling hours, graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Georgetown, NY.
