Obituary of Frederick Rose

Frederick Newell "Fred" Rose, 41, of Fabius died unexpectedly Saturday, December 19, 2015. Fred attended Messiah College in Grantham, PA and Corning Community College; he worked in the maintenance department with the Tully School District for the last 11 years. An avid hiker, Fred was an outdoor enthusiast and would often be out with his beloved dog at his side. He was also an amateur radio operator. Fred is survived by his parents, Fred and Judy Rose of Fabius; his brother, Bill (Kelly) Rose of Syracuse; nieces, Kameron and Kennedy Rose; maternal grandmother, Shirley Jones of Delhi; aunt and uncle, Candace and David Robison of San Martin, CA; cousins, Dean (Christy) Robison of Gilroy, CA and Tracy (Amy) Robison of Springfield, OR. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Pompey Community Church and the family will receive friends at a reception in the church fellowship hall following the services. Burial will be in Plains Cemetery, Oneonta. In keeping with Fred's love of nature, the family requests casual dress.
