I am so sorry to hear of Leonard's passing. I have been a volunteer at the NYS Veterans' Home for the past two years. Mr. Coleman was always such a joy to see when he would stop in to buy his "chocolate" fix!! I even when looking for him a few weeks ago because he had not been in to see me lately.. His passing saddens me so much. Rest in peace Leonand Coleman Jr...we will miss you dearly. Prayers to the family...Sophie

A great man and wonderful teacher .He told me 40 years its not a screw up until you can not fix it.He was tring to make a young man not to feel bad about his [mine] screw up.Always had a smile and something nice to say .He will be missed.

I was at work Friday, 10/14/16, thinking of "Junior" (as my dad always called him), as I was educating my patient about a low cholesterol diet, using my 3 wooden sticks of butter: one solid stick, one stick sliced perfectly into tablespoons (8) and the third stick sliced to perfection into 24 teaspoons of butter. all held beautifully in a wooden box. I asked my dad to ask Lennie if he could make me something like that with the dimentions of a stick of butter and when he came home from their cape cod trip, I had wooden butter pats and I've been using it for years as an education tool and always get great compliments about the craftsmanship. I have many wonderful memories, my dad loved him so much. Len is the oldest cousin of the family, and I am the youngest cousin of the family. Wish we could see a glimpse of the celebration they're having now in heaven. Thinking of you and sending prayers at this difficult time.
