As a broker, I knew David during the McGee years but became part of his 'corporate family' as a marine underwriter throughout our time working at Fireman's Fund McGee Marine Underwriters, Max, Alterra and Markel.
David was not only a colleague & mentor but also a good friend for the better part of 20 years. He had a profound and guiding influence on my career path in the marine insurance industry.
My deepest condolences and warm wishes go out to all of the Webster Family during this difficult time.
He will be missed very much.

Webby was a special guy that always took the time to stop and chat and ask how things were going. Always had a quick smile and always had a laugh with him. He will be missed. David was an excellent mentor in my upbringing in insurance. I remember so many times sitting across from his office at Fireman’s Fund and picking his knowledge on insurance related issues. So thorough in his responses he was. As well I can say he was a hero on 911 when he decided it was best to evacuate the building. I owe him so much for that decision. My deepest condolences to the family. He leaving us was way to early. May he rest in piece.

We first met at McGee, throughout several years I worked directly with David as his Administrative Assistant. David had a great sense of humor, a down to earth guy whom always showed appreciation to others. His family, friends and the insurance community have suffered a great loss.

Dear Sarah, Peter & Samuel,
My sincere sympathy for your loss. I worked with David at McGee, Fireman's Fund, Max and Altera. I was Mike Miller's secretary and enjoyed the great times we all had as the "Marine Insurance" group. Sarah, I remember the wax candles you made, he would give them to me for Christmas. Also the delicious maple syrup the boys loved to process. I always thought David was a great guy with a wonderful family.
David was one of the nicest persons I had the privilege of working with. May he rest in peace and may his family find strength and cherish the wonderful memories.

My condolences to the entire Webster family. David was such a positive person. We always had a great chat whenever our paths crossed. We often spoke about hockey and lacrosse.
