Laura I'm so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I recently read all about him and he certainly lived an exciting and adventurous life. I also listened to him playing the piano with his brother. Such awesome memories for your whole family. I'm sure you're proud of who he was here on earth.

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing! His piano playing as the clown on "The Magic Toy Shop" enchanted me as a young child, and inspired me to learn to play piano when we got one when I was in my teens. THAT changed MY life, much for the better! And what a long, full life he had, too! He is playing piano for the angels, now! It must have been his son who was the conductor for so many school bands and orchestras in the Liverpool School district, I remember him fondly, too!

I took piano lessons from Joe Carfano at Ripso Studio over the Brown Jug tavern from the age of 7-17 yrs old. I was lucky to know Tony, Mike, etc. After several years Ripso studio moved on the top floor of the Onondaga Hotel.Thanks to them & Joe C I enjoyed a fantastic music career. Until1970 when I no longer was able to play a key board. I can visualize Tony taking over the choir in Heaven. lol.
I thank him for my success in the music field and will pray God makes him feel comfortable & at home in his Heavenly home.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was a brilliant musician and pianist, but beyond that, he was one of the most personable and genuine people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I was always relaxed and comfortable working with him. I'll miss his great stories and his Joie de Vivre!

With great sorrow, we mark the passing of Uncle Tony and extend our sincerest condolences to his children and family. Sadly, we will be away from Syracuse next Friday, and therefore unable to attend his calling hours and funeral. After he relocated back to Syracuse, I was honored to have performed with Tony as Music Director or in rhythm sections with him several times. When he led a band, or acted as accompanist, you always played your best. You know you were in the presence of a huge talent who had lots of class. He was already with a story as well. I enjoyed every minute of every show I played with him. He was one of the greats of a bygone era, when good music was popular music.
