I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. God has promised to, one day soon, eliminate death forever, along with all sickness, pain, and sorrow. (Rev.21:4) He has also promised to reunite us with our loved ones on a restored paradise earth. The Bible says he yearns to do this. (John 5:28,29; Job 14:14,15) I hope these scriptures will bring comfort to each of you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sr. Milice during a cruise to Alaska with members of the Church in Homer. I knew a friend of her sister Mill and was asked to join the group. After meeting Milice I felt like I knew her forever. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be missed by all who knew her. RIP Milice

We are saddened by the need of the passing of Sister Milice. We got to know and love Sister Milice during her time at St. Margaret's in Homer, NY. She particularly helped me with teaching 4th Grade religious ed classes.
Our prayers and thoughts are with Sister and her family. She was one of the sweetest people we have come to know at our parish.

There is so much I could be saying here about Sister Milice and her impact on the parishioners of St. Margaret's Church in Homer, NY. However, I think I can best sum it up by saying that if the Church had permitted women to be priests, Milice would have made one fine priest. She had so many positive virtues and saintly attributes, while still being ever so much a down-to-earth human being. She made a difference in this world, and the world is diminished by her loss. I and my family were blessed to have known her. And now she belongs to the angels.

I had the privilege of knowing Milice after meeting her in 2000 on a trip to Alaska with her sister Mill and a great group of people from St. Margaret's. We had the best time ever!!
Milice was so down-to-earth, I felt like I knew her for years. She was, among other qualities, very funny. I enjoyed spending time with her again on a visit to Homer a year or two later.
People come into your life for a season and a reason. That season was late in 2000.
Whatever the reason, I'm glad to have had the opportunity and privilege to have known Milice.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Milice. She was an incredible, feisty woman who taught this cradle-Catholic and Catholic school-educated (50s) woman that sisters/nuns had senses of humor – and Milice certainly did; that sisters/nuns were first and foremost humans (some of whom smoked!!, some of whom swore!!, some of whom enjoyed a bit of casino time); that there was/should be no difference between the sacred and the profane; that all creation had lessons for us beyond dogma and rules; that one should always question the rules of the church, and that love was of paramount importance. Milice was a loving, kind, challenging friend who is sorely missed.

To Milice's family and dear friends, it feels like a light went out here on Earth, when Sr. Milice left us, but I know for sure a light went on in heaven when she got there...and the place will be more lively --it couldn't help but be full of joy and laughter with her there. She will, however, be sorely missed.
