My sincere sympathy to the family. I only got to know Sam in the last couple months when I would bring him communion from Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He was kind and thoughtful and shared his Catholic faith with Kelly who was a patient at Van Dyne 2 doors down from Sam. He always smiled and loved to read. I was surprised when I stopped in last Sunday and he was not there. With love and prayers, Pat

I am saddened to hear the news of Sam’s passing. I will miss seeing all of his beautiful drawings on Facebook. I always loved how he included butterflies in so many of his drawings. To me they symbolize freedom, change and beauty. I know that Sam is in a place of eternal peace, freedom and beauty. Hugs and prayers to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Sam.
