We have been Nick’s neighbors in Juddville since 1992. He “supervised” the construction of our house, he shared his many skills and practical wisdom with us freely and he was in every sense the best of neighbors. We will miss seeing his truck go by, hearing his voice at the door, sharing a joke and a cup off coffee as we did on so many weekend mornings. We were fortunate to have had the friendship of this remarkable, resourceful and intelligent man for the last quarter century and we offer most heartfelt condolences to Joann, Nicole, and all who who mourn his passing.

Emil and I were saddened to learn of Nick's passing. I met Nick at the Transfer Station just after my husband died, and somehow he knew about it, and also that my lawnmower had only three wheels. He followed me home from the Transfer Station and loaded up the lawnmower, bringing it back in mint condition with four wheels. From that time on, he took care of my lawn equipment, and I was so grateful. I often had a chance to chat with him on those occasions and also at the Transfer Station. He was a wonderful man and will be missed dearly by family and friends.

I just heard the sad news. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have so many cherished memories of spending time with your family. Going for bike rides, playing in the sandbox, rollerskating downstairs, going to car shows...the list goes on and on. The Sawenko house was my second home for so many years. I am very sad to hear of Nick passing. Many great memories of conversations with Nick while he was meticulously performing his trade installing furnace heating systems in many of my new homes that I built over the years. I loved listening to his travel excursion storys and to see what he had in his lunchbox for lunch!!! May God Bless him and lift him up and take him through the gates of Heaven!!! Thank you Nick!!!
