I am so sorry to hear of Bettys passing.I am sorry we were just recently able to make contact after so many years.I spent much of my growing up years on Uncle Bills,and Aunt Liz's farm with all my cousins,it was a happy childhood,and i felt so lucky to have all the cousins to play with when ever i could go out to the farm.Betty was the oldest and most spoiled or( so we thought )but being the first baby there was just that understanding in families back then.A friend and myself rode to Ark.with Betty and your Dad,i cannot remember why(why they would let us go) but my friend Ann McCulloch still remembers the trip and your father.When Betty went into nursing,it was a big thing in the family and we were all so proud of her..Four years later i graduated from h.s. not knowing what i would do,my parents said you are going to be a nurse like Betty.I had never been in a hospital in my life and knew nothing about them. I am sure Betty had a lot to do with that decision.I did become a nurse (for 27 yrs .VA plus 20 more) I am grateful to Betty for whatever input she provided my parents to push me in that direction.
When Betty and i talked we had so much we each wanted to say ,and catch up on ,it was like i had been in touch with her allthrough the years,we always had the same sense of humor,and i had to laugh much of the time talking to her with all the jokes as we careened in high gear through the years.We also did a trip to Calif.with my parents,i think partly for her graduation ,I have a great picture of us in a jail cell in Calif.on that trip I will send it to you Mike, and you can share or copy.I don't know how to add a photo .My heart truly goes out to all of you .
