Though my cousin Joe was only 4 years older than me, he was my hero from the time I was about 5. He was incredibly strong, unbelievably hard-working on a neighbor’s farm before he joined the Army, and taught me to chew tobacco, which I quickly discovered was not as cool as it looked. He was a great father (and grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and, of course, cousin), and Sharon was his perfect match. I have to think he never got over Sharon’s passing — she was a sweetheart.
Joe had a strong moral code, and his kids are proof of that. After I had been far away from New Woodstock for many years, I was really glad I got back to see him and Sharon and talk with them.
It’s natural and inevitable at my age to gradually lose those you love, but my age doesn’t make me feel any better about it. Blessings to those who keep Joe’s and Sharon’s memory alive.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad. In 1969 I started at Bristol in the Fermentation Dept. I started on your Dad's shift. He was one of the first persons i really got to know. He lived in New Woodstock and my grandfather did to. Your dad knew him and his son Stewart so we talked about New Woodstock a lot. I work with him for 8 yrs before being transferred to another dept. I still used to stop by to see him when he was on days. Even after I left Bristol in 1983 when hunting if his truck was there I would stop to see him. I always think of my days in Fermentation and your Dad and always will as they were good days. I am also saddened to hear your Mom had passed away. My prayers are with all of you

In the many years of our friendship we shared so many memorable events. From our many trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City , to the many lunches and dinners; and watching each others kids grow up to be fine adults parents and grandparents. Rest in peace dear friends. You will be missed by all who knew you.
