I am so sad to learn of Bob's passing. It has been a long time since I last saw him, but I still today find myself in any number of situations thinking, "I bet he could still make people smile through this." And then I try to do that. My sincere condolences to the Googin family and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

To all our dear Googin family, we extend to you our most heartfelt condolences and love. How we enjoyed our times with Bob and Jan when we were all young parents, raising our broods together, sharing life's joys and challenges. It seems we alternated every year having a baby. Babies, babies, babies! Those are such treasured years and we are so grateful we were able to share them with you all. We will always remember Bob's VW van and his disheveled dashboard that was his office. He came to our rescue so many times, always leaving with some utterance that made him chuckle and left us with a smile as we waved goodbye. He was such a dear friend. I know it is hard to say this last goodbye. You will always remain near and dear to our hearts. Sending you all virtual hugs of love and light as you say your final goodbye today and honor your very special dad. We love you.

Our condolences and prayers go out to your family. Bob was a great guy. I remember buying his popcorn and watching movies at the theater. One of the best memories in my life along with knowing Bob. God bless you all.

I am so sad to hear of your Dad’s passing. My childhood memories are filled with The Adventures of Bob Googin...the bus breaking down on the way to Martha’s Vineyard, trying to break into “The O’Brien’s” house because they must have given us the wrong key, digging our VW bug out of the sand in the Hamptons because our Dads thought it would be fun to off-road...and so many fun weekend nights around a bonfire that was sure to light the entire neighborhood on fire. All of us Wahl children cherish the memories we have with Bob and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember listening to Mr Googin's range of classic rock albums with Kelli at the Corwin Street house and how he was always able to fix ANYTHING in our old 1800s Lincklaen Street home - always with a smile and a chuckle. Such a beautiful obituary. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was truly a one of a kind man. Will never forget when my girls were young and the first time we met him. They had a koolaid stand on Nickerson St andhe stopped in his yellow Volkswagen bus and generously over-paid for his koolaid and cookies. Such a kind and caring man. RIP Bob.

Your dad was like a father to me - knowing him all of my life brought me great joy and lots of heartfelt laughter. Bob could put anyone at ease with his smile, laughter, and unexpected observations. His sense of humor will never be forgotten. He was a true original and exactly who we all needed to help raise us as children. I already miss him dearly and love you all as my siblings. Holding you close to my heart and enjoying the knowledge that Bob and Sean are together again.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Googin family. The obituary is wonderfully written and such fun to read. So many things Bob did for us are there to remember him by for years to come, e specialty the old hot water heater from the Linklaen House
that Bob insisted on installing to heat our pool! It's still in our cellar.
With deepest sympathy,
Bob and Sally Gregg
