A Life Remembrance will occur following the service at the funeral home at the family camp on DeRuyter Lake, where all are welcome to share their stories, eat, drink, and be merry.

I only learned of Gary's passing today. We worked together for many years on federal contracts, and he was truly a great guy on a personal and professional level. He always went above and beyond. My deepest condolences to his family. Melanie Steen

My sincerest condolances to Libby and the Holmes family.....Gary and I grew up together in Henrietta NY.....met in grade school.....played trumpet together in band up thru high school and graduation . Gary was one of a gang of four fellow students who were fun loving , sometimes crazy , and always humorous ......he was the most studeous one.....probably the smartest too......after graduation we all perused our own paths and met up once more years later at his and Libby's wedding...looking back I think Gary was the best......they didn't come better......I'm glad to have known him when I did and hope to see him in heaven some great day ........sincerely, Tater.....( Peter Banning)

My sincere condolences to all the Holmes family on the passing of both Gary and Lonnie. Lonnie and I were friends from birth. I lost track of them when they moved, but reconnected a few years ago. I remember several fun times at the camp and seeing the family at church every Sunday. Sending love and prayers for peace and comfort at this most difficult time. It's always so hard for those left behind, but I imagine there is a big celebration in heaven for all the Holmes family and loved ones there.❤ Margaret Elmore Dansie
