Obituary of Mark Farrell

Mark Farrell, 82, of Cazenovia passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at home. Mark was born December 28, 1938 in Fayetteville to Frank and Marion Jane Farrell Sr. and was a graduate of Fabius High School. Throughout his career, Mark had been employed as an operator and job site superintendent for several companies in Central New York including J.J. Lane Construction where he retired in 2020. He had a natural talent for heavy equipment operations and over the years was a mentor to many entering this line of work. His main concern was teaching others how to operate construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Mark is survived by his wife of 63 years Deborah Maurer Farrell; his children, Stacy (Joseph) Karpinski of Fairmount, Jacqueline (Robert) Topolski of West Monroe and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Farrell of Ivoryton, CT; his grandchildren Joshua (Lauren) Karpinski, Zachary (Laura) Karpinski, Alex (Maria) Wafer, Asah Topolski, Kate and Lily Farrell, and his great-granddaughters Madeleine Karpinski and her newborn baby sister. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
