Elsie and Reggie were long-time dear friends of my parents. Reggie taught at JD Middle School with my father Larry Sutherland.
When they enjoyed a night of bridge together at each other's homes, we kids would go along to play and then be put to bed until they woke us up to go home. Bruce and Bobbie may remember that too! I remember their many dinner parties together, days at the Lake, gatherings with other JD folks, always with lots of laughter and play. Elsie had in infectious giggle and a twinkle in her eye, Reggie you were always smiling and patient and wanting to know what was going on in our young lives, any art? Sadly I was not a natural artist! I am very sorry that you have lost Elsie in your life, Reggie. You and she were so important to my parent's happiness, I thank you. Love to you and family, Carol Sutherland Hutchinson

I am so very sorry to hear of Elsie's passing. I have known Elsie and Reggie since the mid 90's. They were friends with my in-laws. I took art lessons at the Manlius house with Reggie and then would have tea with Elsie. She taught my children how to knit. She was lovely. They were a lovely couple, and I enjoyed my time spent with them both. I've since moved to Clifton Park and Elsie and I have been "pen pals" with her over the years. I will truly miss her, and her witty updates on the family and people we knew in common. My condolences to all, especially to Reggie. Sue Sutherland
