Obituary of Marilyn Perry

Marilyn Louise (Durham) Perry passed away peacefully on her 86th birthday, October 27, 2021. She was the daughter of Mary Louise (Boyea) and Leroy Durham born on October 27, 1935 in Malone, NY where she was raised until moving to Syracuse, NY. It was there that she attended Powelson Business Institute, and met and married the love of her life, Norman Perry, and together raised a family. Marilyn was an avid antique collector and enjoyed decorating her home with all the beautiful treasures she found. She loved being surrounded by lots of color, which you could see in her gardens around her home, as well as, in the beaded jewelry she created over the years. Marilyn was also an animal lover and lived most of her life with multiple pets in the house. Once retired, she moved to Florida with Norman to be closer to family and enjoy the warm weather. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ruth and son-in-law Cliff Peeke, son Andy and daughter-in-law Rasheeda Perry, and daughter Karen and son-in-law Chip Griffin. She was also the loving grandmother of Jessica, Alison, Jasmine, Andrew, and Trevor. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery in Cazenovia.
