I was saddened to hear of Terry's sickness in the St. James bulletin and then his death a week later. I knew Terry from the New Woodstock Boy Scouts in the early - mid 1960's where he was my Assistant Patrol Leader. Though he was two years younger and we haven't been in touch since, I remember those years well. We had the time of our lives on week long canoe trips and hiking the high peaks of the Adirondacks. Terry was a good friend then and I'm sure he became a great husband, father and grandfather. In another life, I hope we meet up again.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am a respiratory therapist who was one of many who cared for Terry while in the ICU. He had a tremendous impact on me for the short time I knew him. Love and prayers to all his family.

Working with Terry was a pleasure. He knew his business inside out and made the difficult possible. Attention to detail and oversight of work were exceeded only by his understanding of the needs of the client to guide the direction of the work.
More importantly, the warmth, compassion, and integrity Terry brought to the table were exceeded only by his love for Mary
and his family. His joy at the birth of his grandchildren, the pleasure he had from family get togethers and vacations were shared
with all within his contact. Always a smile, a kind word -- and a phone call to stay in touch long after work was completed.
My sympathy to all who loved and was loved by Terry -- our world has lost a remarkable gentleman.

Mrs. Damon and family, I was heartbroken when I heard the news of Terry’s passing. He was a wonderful man. We spent a few minutes together almost everyday for two school years while Kernan was undergoing first demolition and then an addition of a new wing. He always made me feel like my opinion about what’s important in a school building really mattered. He often stopped in classrooms to make sure teachers and students were happy with the progress or just to say hello! He spoke of you often, Mrs. Damon and praised your abilities as a teacher, a mom, a wife, etc. He spoke of his children and his grandchildren with pride! When he brought his grandson Terry to the job site he was thrilled! He was a kind man, certain in his abilities, and never afraid to make things right. He made sure we were first and foremost SAFE (hence the pink hard hat!) He was a gem of a human being. I’m blessed to have known him. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Terry’s passing. I remember him fondly as I had many sleepovers at the farm with Renee. I remember once we were sleeping downstairs and we were scared because we heard a noise. Terry must have come in from being out and came in to “rescue” us. I remember him as a very kind person. I send my condolences to the entire Damon family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Terry’s entire family. The world has lost one of the greatest. I had the opportunity to work with Terry at the Pyramid Companies and then on projects together after we left. In the community Terry was all about his faith, family and giving back. We served together on the CYAA board for many years. Terry was a role-model family man, leader and friend. He was a man who believed in the power of a dream and then went on to make it happen. He always put others before self and he was the constant gentleman with a great attitude and unwavering integrity.
I wept when I heard of his passing. May we all strive to live the example that Terry provided us as a lasting legacy to him.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Damon. As a kid, Mr. Damon was always fun and filled with jokes, always positive and laughing. We enjoyed many great times at OLA Church, Mount Carmel School, boating and birthday parties. Mr. Damon taught us what “monkey business” was and was 30 years ahead of his time making popular the sunglasses neck strap before the rest of the world caught on.
I remember him as successful businessman and an even greater family man. His faith and love for his family were his life. All who knew Mr. Damon were better for it.
Our deepest condolences to Mrs. Damon, Jessica and Reilly. We take comfort in the fact he is reunited with many family and friends that preceded him to eternal paradise.

Terry was the most honest, honorable man I have ever known and I am blessed to call him my son-in-law. His family was the center of his love and life.
His wisdom was beyond his years and he always blessed us with his wit.
While our hearts hurt now and will slowly heal , he will always be in our hearts and sorely missed.

Mary and family,
Jackie and I were so surprised and sorry to learn of Terry’s passing. We remember Terry fondly from our Cobleskill College days. Terry was the Resident Assistant of my dorm floor. Was a great RA and friend. We had a tremendous amount of fun during that year with allot of mischief involved….Terry had a way about building strong relationships between the people he came in contact with.
After leaving school I thought many times about our dorm floor and Terry. I always wondered where he was and what he was doing. Then magically when we moved to Cazenovia I ran into Terry at the transfer station (the local social hangout). We instantly bonded again and Jackie and I were so happy to be able to meet both of you at our house where we shared stories about Our Cobleskill days. I had the pleasure of seeing Terry several more times after that and always enjoyed our interactions.
I know Terry was a special person and while we talked and I learned about what he was going since college he also was obviously a special husband, father and grandfather who will be missed very much by all who were blessed to be able to know him.
Our deepest and sincerest condolences.
Paul and Jackie Terwilliger

My Daddy. My hero. Life will never be the same. Heaven gained the most incredible man- one who will be sorely missed by those who had the honor and privilege of knowing him. I am the most blessed daughter to have had such a perfect example of unconditional love, hard work, generosity, selflessness and steadfast faith.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mary and the family. I loved taking pictures and these are the few I chose to share. Terry was a great cousin, always there to help out. Jesus said to her “I am the resurrection and the life. he who believes in Me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do You believe this?” John 11:25-26
