Dear Husted family,
I knew Rich from St James and CCC, and and remember him as a contributer. Unfortunately, my golf HC did not permit us many games on the golf course, but he was a friend to many on and off the course. My sincere condolences for your loss.

Dear Husted family -
I didn't know Rich personally, but I can assume a lot based on the humans he created and raised. I'm a friend of Alison's. A new friend, but fast friends. Alison talked about her family and love for them often. Alison, like her father, is giving, passionate, thoughtful, and is very involved in her neighborhood, community and kids' schools. She loves Kent (her dog). She enjoys skiing, just as Rich did. I imagine she also has a terrible singing voice. I only heard it once, but she may have had a bit too much to drink, so it could have been that getting in the way of the vocals.... And man is that lady active! Damn! Have you ever gone on a walk with her?! Be prepared!
I am SO glad to have met Alison and have her and her family in our lives. They are such a fun addition. So you might ask why am I writing about Alison? Well, as I said, I didn't know Rich, but I can imagine the person HE was based on Alison. And he should be proud. Marilyn - you should be proud. How do you summarize a person's life of 78 years in a few paragraphs? You can't. You don't. You create other amazing humans, put them out there in the world and let your legacy continue, just as Rich's legacy beautifully continues.
Sending you all love, and hoping Alison doesn't ask you to go for a walk...
Best, Tracy Viola

Dear Marilyn, Sara, Allison and Brad,
Mary and I extend our sympathy and prayers for the loss of your dear husband and father. I am personally blessed to have shared a long working relationship and friendship with this special man. As I reflect on my career with Carrier, Rich was truly a special mentor to me. He was such a positive and caring individual. His guidance and encouragement moved me in directions I would not have achieved on my own. Following our retirements we had several opportunities to share a round of golf and dinner at your house Marilyn. He was so proud of all of you and together you made your home a welcoming place for, I am sure, may of your friends and family. I will miss him dearly but take solace with my belief that this special man is enjoying the eternal life offered by our Creator.

Dear Marilyn, Sara, Allison and Brad
John and I send our heartfelt sympathy to all your family members. Rich always held a special place in my heart because he was my godfather. He was inspiring and interesting to talk with, and knowledgable in so many topics! He always seemed to take a true interest in my life which I found to be so kind. The world lost a good soul. I know he will be missed by many, but he left a mark and a legacy. I hope you all find comfort in the days ahead and your sadness is replaced with smiles, grand memories and pride that this outstanding person was your husband and father. He will send you rainbows on a rainy day.
Love you all and you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Marilyn and family,
Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you. I want to write so much about Rich, but just a few words at this time seems to be much better. He was like a brother to me.
I couldn't ask for a better friend than Rich. And will always fondly remember our visits to spend weekends with you, Rich and the children.
He and I grew up together, lived a few a few miles apart, but always managed to ride our bikes the 3 miles to see each other. Then St Pius X for high school, Drexel University, and after that continuing on with our lives, but always staying in touch.
I remember you two visiting us asking our advice about moving to Europe for his job and was that a good choice, and so much more. That's just one of so many memories.
All my love, Rich Fedyk

Had the pleasure of working with Rich on the St. James Finance Committee for over a decade. He also provided me,family and other committee members assistance in organizing our annual St. James Golf Tournament which ran for 12 consecutive successful years at Caz CC. Appreciated his consistent efforts in making Cazenovia Lake a better place to swim, boat or just admire. Not to mention just his presence on the golf course which will be missed but pleasantly remembered.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Rich on the Grounds Committee at St.James. He treated the church yard like it was his personal property, which inspired all of us to work a little harder. He was a kind, patient man who will be sorely missed.

Rich was an executive at Carrier when I first met him as a young employee and he was always supportive and gracious, a true role model both as a professional and as a man. I join with countless others in appreciation of his leadership and example. Heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends.

My fondest memory of Rich goes back 31 years in Park City Utah. Our family was in shock after the sudden death of Dick. Rich was one of the first people to come over and offer his support and help. Over the years he’s always been interested in our welfare. He was truly one of the most kind and thoughtful individuals I’ve ever met. My heart breaks for the sadness you are all feeling.

For so long Rich has been such a huge part of our lives that we are completely bereft. From gardening to wines to boat care and everything in between, we turned to him. He was always there and so happy to help - there truly isn't a more thoughtful and generous man. We are so blessed to have had him as a dear friend - and will treasure the many trips we took, wines we drank, meals we savored, and laughs we had. You will never be forgotten.

Uncle Rich, thanks for mentoring me when I needed it. Thanks for being there on my first hunt with my dad right after my 12th birthday. Thanks also, for sneaking me onto a Cessna that Papa Jack piloted and flew over Lake Kewanee. Mom and dad weren’t happy. I will miss our conversations about life and the air conditioning business. Gardening also. You taught me how to plant ferns long ago. You will be missed, sir.
