I was fortunate to have a father who was a Ford dealer in a small town in Northern NY and because he was active in the NY State Auto Dealers Association, he had the opportunity to meet and work with other dealers. Some of those relationships developed into lifelong friendships. My parents, Jim and Dorothy Kraker certainly cherished their bond with Jack and Polly - my brother, sister and I would always hear about how wonderful the Koerners were as travel companions. When we moved from the Gouverneur area to
Cazenovia, mom and dad would always ask about Jack and Polly and Jack was always there to shake my hand following our Community Choir concerts. I can't think of a friendship that my parents cherished more than the Koerners and I know my late mom and dad are now sharing war stories with Jack.

Even though we are separated by miles, the Koerners have been an important part of our family since Sue and Scott married. We’ve enjoyed watching the little ones grow up on Tamarack Ridge and Lake George. From summer parties on the boat to bringing home the Christmas tree, every event is always a family celebration. The house that Jack built is strong, and his legacy will last for generations. Hopefully, you will all find joy in the heartwarming memories you have shared over the years.
Love from the Pearsons

To the Koerner family,
I have such fond memories of you as neighbors and friends. All of the big red dogs and my first horseback rides. I attribute that ability to your father's diligence and success. Such a kind person, an asset to the community, a father, a friend. He had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. I still remember it. Together they created a wonderful family, one that I had the fortunate opportunity to know and love. My heartfelt condolences.

Such fond memories of spending my college internship at Jack and Polly's farm. Taking me to Saratoga and OTB( but don't tell the college ) to watch one of their horses race. Teaching me to drive the horse van, and trusting me to stay in their home and watch the farm while they were away. And if my little ford truck was broken, he would take it to the garage and let me drive his Thunderbird. How lucky I was to share a little bit of life with them both. Thank you, Melody Pasini

Carol and I just learned of Jack’s passing and wanted to express our condolences to your family. I had the privilege of serving with Jack when he was a valued member of our board of trustees at Cazenovia College. I admired his commitment and strong leadership. May he Rest In Peace. Dear Kathy & Gary and family of John Koerner,
Our condolences to you all during this tender time. May the peace that passes all understanding, the Lord's peace, be with you. These verses have given me comfort during difficult times:
"In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14:2&3

I am sad to hear this. My Dad started working at Koerner Motors in 1951 as parts manager and continued with Jack at all 5 of his dealerships and finally retired in the 90s. I started at Koerner Ford of Syracuse in 1971 in the parts department and had the pleasure of working along side John Jr. In Dec.of 1973 I transfered to Koerner Ford of Rochester at Jack's request. To my surprise Jack called me to his office on Jan. 2 of 1974 and made me the parts manager 1 day after my 22nd birthday. I stayed at that job until I was 68 years old. I reflect on my families relationship with the Koerner name often and am thankful for all Jack did for my life. I send my love and prayers for the whole family at this time.
