Dear Dorie, Ed, Karol, Joe and Eric, I was very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. It has been a very long time since I've seen or spoken with any of you. I worked for your families @ Wolf Hollow Racquet Club in the early - mid 70's. I was very fond of your Mom and Dad as employers of me as a teenager, along with Fred and Don and their families, too. I learned to play tennis there and it is a lifelong skill I am so very grateful for. I remember the trust your Mom and Dad placed in me to open up the Club @ 430am to sweep the courts and get things ready in the locker rooms. I remember hitting balls with the pros when they were on their breaks (and hopefully I was on mine) and I remember your Dad's gentle guidance so much so that I remember it today. I also remember your Mom stocked the refrigerator with the best cold cuts in the history of the world. Or so they seemed to a teenager. I enjoyed my work experience there very much and I will always remember your Dad as one of those who had a significant impact in my life; he probably never realized it because he was just being who he was. I was traveling on business when I read the sad news and have been meaning to write. We never know in many cases how we touch those who come into our lives - I will always remember how your Dad touched mine. My best to all of you. Pat Gillson

It is with profound sadness that I pass along my condolence for dear "Uncle Ed". I honor his memory today and will always cherish the many gifts he bestowed upon me over the years. Etched in my memory is the blessed time he and Dorothy spent with me in 2003 while navigating through years of history at my grandmother's home, "Aunt Mary's". The laughs, history and overall family lore that Ed shared made this one the most enriching experiences of my adult life. For this, I am forever grateful.

My deepest sympathy to all the Weinheimer family on your loss. A lot of years ago, I met Ed thru our mutual Human Resources careers. I was with Agway while he was with GE. He called me one day and said a group of guys wanted to start a Barbershop group in Manlius. I went to the first meeting of the Limestone Harmonizers in the basement of the American Legion. That got me hooked and I enjoyed many years of singing with your Dad. We even got Eric to sing with us for awhile. We will miss his smiling baritone and his good nature. Sincerely, Bob Engfer

We meet Ed & Dorothy when we formed East Grand Packards Nov. 97 - Ed was our first treasurer and his wife Dorothy was a driving force when we did our first Packard National Meet in 2001. They were both founding members of our club. Ed also was the one who wrote up the by-laws for our club. They were people that all of the car people totally enjoyed and will be missed seriously.

I met Ed when I joined the Barbershop Shop Society 33 years ago. He was the ultimate Barbershopper that maximized every opportunity to let his audience experience the Harmony of Laughter as he would bring his audience to tears of JOY! We thank Ed & his family for inviting a group of Barbershoppers to his home several times over the last few years to sing the Old Songs with Ed. He would change before our eyes, seeing glimpses of the Ed we all knew and loved. He will be in the hearts of many for the joy he gave to others. BlesSING's on you and your friends and family and your Barbershop Family. SING-cerely, Larry Brennan
