So grateful for the time I had the privilege of spending with this man! Truly one of the "good ones". I was looking forward to some new adventures with you and Aunt Joanne for your next visit down here, not expecting that there wouldn't be another trip. I love your sense of humor and your kindness to strangers and your eye for beauty. You will be missed! I'll see you on the other side Uncle P. You are so loved by so many!

Of all my nephews, Pat was the one who reached out to me most frequently throughout the years. I pray that our Good Lord will reward Pat and Joanne abundantly for all their goodness to me. My condolences to Joanne and also to Gideon and Rachel and their families.

As a long haired teen in the mid 70's I had heard of Patrick Lamb's natural quality of genuineness and sincerity from a friend who came into contact with Patrick on a counseling basis because of a drug issue.
Much to my surprise rather than being put off by being ordered to meet with a counselor, after one meeting my friend actually looked forward to seeing him at their next session, and I could actually hear some disappointment in his voice when I heard from him the day that his allotted number of sessions with Patrick were down to just one more.
He drove a Saab at this time, by the way.
I really did not get my friends attraction to a "counselor" until one day much later, me and my friend were walking in downtown Syracuse when I heard him say, " Hey, Thats Patrick!", who was walking towards us deep in a professional conversation with another man who appeared to me by his fine manner of dress, and high minded way he spoke to be somebody of some importance , politician, lawyer ?
The moment my friend said " Hey Patrick " he stopped in his tracks to say hello to us two longhairs, much to the irritation of the man whose conversation was interrupted by our presence, at the point Patrick looked at me & inquired about who I was and actually wanted to know a little about me, the gentleman with him had about enough and actually tried to end his talking to us, when Patrick turned & looked him straight in the eye and said, " Excuse Me ", turning right back to us and finishing his talk with us.
Much to the other man's consternation.
A one time chance meeting with the man, that instilled a life lesson that I still carry with me to this day.
To this day I am always mindful to never let anything, or anybody, hinder me in devoting my full attention to anyone, especially a young person, who has happily sought me out .

My condolences to Joann and the family of Pat. I always enjoyed speaking with him at training meetings and it was fun to have him join in the FarmNet Song for the second morning of training. May his service to others be remembered and bring encouragement to all.

On behalf of NY FarmNet and the farm families that Pat served during his time with the program, we honor his memory and recall his dedication and patience. Pat was a wealth of knowledge related to elder care, coping with with Alzheimer's in the family, and could skillfully navigate everything from power and insurance companies to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. You will be missed.

Please accept our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts! We knew Pat for years, we live on Lawrence road not far from the corner where Pat lived. May Pat Rest in Peace! .
One day a few years ago my young daughter left the house to go baby sitting down on Bishop Hill and left a pot cooking on the stove, she suddenly remembered and called Pat, he ran over and saved our kitchen from burning up! Called 911 and her Dad. We were so thankful for Pat in helping us out!
