Obituary of Patrick Lamb
Patrick Lamb, a long-time resident of Marcellus before his move to the Capital Region in 2022, passed into Eternal Life on June 10, 2023. Patrick was born August 13, 1950, in Syracuse to Donald and Evelyn Lamb. He was a graduate of North Syracuse High School (class of 1968), Onondaga Community College, Empire State College, and Syracuse University. After working for the Onondaga County Department of Social Services for a decade, Patrick ran a private mental health counseling business for many years before working as a contractor and ultimately as a social worker for the FarmNet program. He was a long-time tennis player and avid photographer who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Joanne Lamb (nee Koennecke); his daughter, Rachel Lamb (Maureen Curtin) and granddaughter Madeleine Curtin of Onondaga, NY; his son, Gideon Lamb (Jennifer) and grandchildren Meaghan, Patrick, and Jessica Lamb of Scotia, NY; brother, Ward Lamb (Jeff Silbeman) of Slate Hill, NY; sister, Marie Lamb of Manlius, NY; aunt, Sister Anne Eileen Heffernan of Jamaica Plain, MA; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Mark; and son Dylan.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, July 8, 2023, with services to follow at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia.
