My name is Pat Gillson and I was one of Mr. Bailey's substitute volunteer drivers from Meals on Wheels. I am appreciative of the write-up and especially the video. So often I get to know our clients only toward the end of their lives and I knew Emmett for the last three years in my role as a volunteer delivering meals. Now I know more; he was a family man, a proud man, a man of accomplishments and a veteran and so much more. The fact that he took care of the local cemetery tells me much about his respect for those who went before him, for tradition, for legacy and for selfless contributions. To his children and grandchildren, I express my condolences for your loss. I will remember your dad and grandfather for a long time, the gentle, quiet man in the white house on the hill. I am sorry to have learned of your loss too late to personally pay my respects.
