Dear Ben and Lesley, While this is late in writing, I am terribly sorry to hear of Susan's passing. Having lost both my parents in withinb the past year, words cannot express the loss of the unconditional love that only a parent provides us. It goes without saying how proud she is of you and what a good son you have been. God bless your family. My sincerest sympathy for your loss. Dulce Fernandez

Gary, I was so sorry to hear about Sue's passing. You both waged an incredibly courageous battle with a tremendous amount of strength and love for a lot of years. I was so glad to be able to see you both at last year's JD reunion. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have not only known such a great person like Sue, but also to have been able to stand next to her in one of the reunion's group photos. Please accept my deepest sympathy to you and your entire family for your loss and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. With deepest sympathy, Kiki

Thank you all for the wonderful messages about Sue. You're right , she was a wonderful and great lady . This is a horrible disease that needs dollars spent on the people that currently have the disease not just trying to prevent the disease from ever happening. Millions have it and few efforts are directed to those people . The efforts are going to eliminate it Before it happens. I understand what the "experts" are trying to do But , Sue and the other millions that already have it need help now or they will end up just like Sue.

Gary - So sorry to hear about Sue. You'll recall that I was in Sue's class at Hartwick and saw you guys every so often when you visited her. I just read about her illness in the last issue of 'The Wick' and read through the Alzheimer's site that she wrote about. May you and your family find strength in this terrible time........my sympathies and condolences to all.

I knew Sue in two capacities. For years, she was the nurse my children saw when they visited their pediatrician at Lyndon Pediatrics. We also participated in the same book club several years ago, comprised of mothers with a child of the same age (we started when they were in fifth grade). Sue always wore a smile and was a terrific person to spend time with. My condolences to the family on this enormous loss. May she rest in peace, knowing that she contributed so much to so many.

To Gary and family: My deepest condolences on the passing of Sue. As an organizer for the Class of 1972 reunions, I know how much time and effort she put in to make the Class of 1973 reunions successful and memorable. It is very hard to say goodbye to a contemporary. Paul Rush and discussed Sue's failing health on the way to Debbie Hallock's funeral in April. I will always remember Sue's smiling face pictured on Facebook (from JDHS) May God grant you and your family peace and serenity at this time of sorrow. Learn from her strengths and energies and go forth. Warren
